Parents of children aged 5 to early teens. This session is ideal for parents who prefer a weekday, morning time slot.

WHAT you will gain

A toolkit of practical strategies to use at home to guide you and your family through stressful moments of the day. Learn to lead your child in mindful play to create a stronger connection, enhance your child's self-esteem and instil an atmosphere of co-operation in the family. A regular mindfulness practice often unlocks self-awareness, gratitude, empathy and kindness in you and your child.

HOW will the session be conducted

3-hour interactive, non-religious workshop. You will experience the wonders mindfulness and mindful meditation, which have been scientifically proven to lower stress levels and increase emotional regulation. Learn about:

  • Strategies for daily practice
  • How children benefit from mindfulness at school and at home

About the Instructors
Zerlina has actively practised meditation for the last 20 years. She is passionate about soulful parenting and, as a mother of three, mindfulness has been integral to her journey of self-discovery and effectiveness as a parent. This workshop has been inspired by the wonderful benefits experienced after teaching meditation and mindfulness to her children. A former finance and management consultant, she is now a mindfulness and life coach. Zerlina is also a writer and believes in the exchange of enlightened energy. Mallika is an international school teacher who has taught in Singapore for over 12 years. Since implementing mindfulness in her classes in school, and running workshops outside, she has come to see the importance of focusing on the life skills of resilience, managing stress and increasing concentration. She feels mindfulness is needed by young people and adults today, especially in our content-saturated world of technology.
